Hów to have an XREF drawing appear washed out after it provides been inserted into a functioning pulling in.
Remedy:
To fade the screen of your XREF, adhere to these actions:
Generate a level for yóur XREF
Lock this new coating
SeIect the XREF ánd change and move to properties
Set the Level to your brand-new XREF layer (the one that's i9000 locked)
On the control collection enterLAYL0CKFADECTL. When prompted, enter a value between -90 and 90, with 90 becoming the lightest.
Note:The XREF will only appear pale in the onscreen display, producing it useful for design work and sales pitches. When plotted, it will not be pale.
Fading xrefs in AutoCAD. If you want to dim (fade) all drawing objects coming from attached Xrefs (both the model- and paperspace), set the XDWGFADECTL variable to a higher value. And vice-versa: the zero or negative value of this variable displays the xref-layers (external references) in a normal standard way (not dimmed, faded, milky). Send Xrefs to the Back; Treedepth. This tip is a menu macro you can use in a ribbon button or toolbar button to quickly send all objects on the selected layer to the back (or front, if you choose). Menu macros can be used to combine built-in commands as shown here to make powerful shortcuts.
